Wedding turban and its history

Wedding turbans are still in style, and we owe the popularity of this accessory to Paul Poiret, to whom I dedicate this post. Every decade has a designer who can deify and define women's desires. In the 1910s, this was Paul Poiret, known in the United States as "The King of Fashion" and in Paris as "The Magnificent." That said, his influence extended far beyond a single decade. More than any other 20th-century designer, Paul Poiret elevated fashion to the category of art. Born into a humble Parisian family in the 1870s, his mother, a fabric merchant, sent him to learn the trade at an umbrella company, where he began his designs using scraps. Poiret's skillful hands and natural charisma gained him entry into some exclusive Belle Époque workshops, and he eventually became a couturier of note. I leave you with this image to inspire your wedding turban designs.
