HOW TO MAKE EASY WEDDING HEADPIECES?

Do you have a wedding this winter but don't want to spend a lot of money on a fascinator? We suggest you make your own DIY. At Tocados y Abalorios we will give you the steps to follow.

The materials you will need are the following:

  • Metal headband or one made of another material, preferably the same color as your hair so that it is not visible.
  • Base for the fascinator.
  • Ribbons of tulle, raffia or jute that match the base.
  • Flowers of different colors and shapes.
  • Decorative button or brooch.
  • Colored thread, needle and scissors.
  • Hot glue gun or fabric glue.

The most important thing is to have the base that we are going to use, and although there are endless models, we have chosen a beige one so that you have more possibilities to combine it with different looks.

STEP 1

Sew the tulle or raffia ribbon onto the base in the shape of a bow, for example. We recommend that you first sew the strip at one end and play with the shapes until you find the one you like best. We are going to use one in the same color as the base.

STEP 2

Now you can add flowers, rhinestones, feathers... If you find it more difficult to sew them to the base, you can also use a hot glue gun. Here you can let your imagination run wild and play with volumes and sizes. We have chosen a combination of preserved hydrangeas in wine and aged wine colors.

STEP 3

If you haven't used only flowers to decorate your fascinator, some finishes may be visible. Therefore, we recommend that you use a button or brooch to cover it.

STEP 4

Finally, we add the headband to the base. You can sew it at two ends to ensure that it does not move. Before sewing, we advise you to place everything on your head to see which side looks best.

All you need now is a good hairstyle and... you can be the most original at the wedding!
