- First, we need to measure our waist to know the exact belt measurements. After cutting the elastic ribbon according to our measurements, you should stitch each end to finish them neatly.
- Once the elastic is cut and stitched, we lay it flat on a table and mark the center to guide us.
- We will need approximately 20 cm of feather fringes, which we will sew or glue to the elastic ribbon.
- Fourth, we will select the fabric flowers we like best. In our case, we have selected two blue fabric flowers, approximately 8 cm in diameter, to be glued in the center of the belt over the fringes. For the rest of the belt's structure, we recommend using as many flowers as you like, combining different colors and sizes. Finally, to finish our creation, we will proceed with manufacturing the back part, which will serve as the closure. These are snap fasteners that can be found in any haberdashery and are very easy to sew. To attach these fasteners, we will make a small hem at the ends and sew each part of the fastener to both sides.
How to Make Your Own Flower Belt
It won't be a handbag or shoes; what will truly set trends this year are flower belts, and we'll show you how to create your own. This type of accessory pairs perfectly with formal events, especially if you wear them with long dresses, as they add romance to your outfit.
First, you should look for an elastic ribbon, approximately 3 or 4 centimeters wide, at any store.
You will also need artificial flowers, a hot glue gun, and a couple of embellishments such as feather fringes and buttons. In our catalog, you can find a wide variety of fabric flowers that will beautifully complement your belt. Once we have all the materials, we will begin the manufacturing process:
